Surf + Skate Meet-Ups in Domburg, Zeeland

Once or twice a month, depending on the conditions, a bunch of female surfers meet up in Domburg to go surfing together, chat, and have brunch or a beer afterwards. It’s super low-key, flexible and free to join.

I started this group simply for my own enjoyment, and to make new friends who also love riding boards.

One of the things I want to do with Wildheart Surf is empower women through surfing and skating, break gender stereotypes in the traditionally male-dominated surf and skate world, and show that age is just a number.

You’re never too old to learn how to surf, skateboard, or try something completely new. And it’s not just fun: getting outside, moving your body and overcoming small (and sometimes big) challenges can do wonders for your confidence and wellbeing.

Many women, especially in their 30s and 40s, struggle with things like changing hormones, burnout, exhaustion, trauma, and overstimulation.

For me, surfing and skateboarding are two ways to get out of my head, have fun and boost my mood. Paired with relaxing yoga, they help me feel more grounded and connected to my body.

So there’s more to surfing and skateboarding than just having fun. I strongly believe in letting your inner child run wild to stay vibrant, curious and healthy. And doing that together is even better.
